This post marks the genesis of the Charlottesville Ballet blog!
I admit that I was a bit of a Luddite when it comes to the idea of non-profit organizations blogging/twittering/facebook-ing. Esteemed organizations should have a professional-looking website and post only official information for their public. If people want a behind-the-scenes look at an arts organization, they usually have to donate large amounts money. However, as a “new age” ballet company we want to break the traditional mold. We hope that this blog will create a fun and interesting online space where everyone can get an inside look at Charlottesville Ballet. Meet our dancers, check out rehearsal pictures, hear the thoughts of our choreographers, and get updates on upcoming performances. We look forward to sharing the artistic process of our unique organization!
