Charlottesville Ballet Presents “A Fairy Tale Gathering” with the Accessible Theatre Project

Charlottesville Ballet is partnering with the Accessible Theatre Project to offer a free, sensory-friendly performance of A Fairy Tale Gathering. Sensory-friendly performances aim to provide a positive theater experience for children with autism or other sensory-related disabilities and their families. Charlottesville Ballet will “preview” major theatrical effects for audience members before beginning the production, and special accommodations will account for potential sensory challenges such as jarring sounds or lights.
A quiet area will also be available during the show for any patron who needs to take a break. Specially trained volunteers from the Accessible Theatre Project will be present to support patrons and their families.
