Charlottesville Ballet Announces Student Casting

for its Professional Production of The Firebird

 

Please note that over 100 children auditioned for a limited number of roles. If you do not see your name below please continue to check next season for more performance opportunities with the Professional Company.

Acceptance: Please e-mail [email protected] no later than Monday, February 6 to accept your role.

Participation Fee: $125 (this will be charged automatically upon your acceptance of the role).

Rehearsal Schedule Beginning Friday, February 17:

(All rehearsals will be held at the CB Studios)

Baby Birds: 5:15 – 5:45pm

Cardinal Birds: 5:00 – 5:45pm

Minions of the Land/Sky: 5:45 – 6:45pm

Forest Maidens: 5:45 – 6:45pm

 Monsters: 5:45 – 6:45pm

Please note there will be no rehearsal on Friday, April 7 during CBA’s Spring Break. All rehearsals are mandatory. An unexcused absence may lead to dismissal from the production. 

 
Put-Together: A Put-Together rehearsal is when all student performers come together for an in-house dress rehearsal with the professional company. This will be held at the Charlottesville Ballet Studios on Friday, April 21 from 4:30 – 8:30pm and is mandatory for all students.
Dress Rehearsal: The mandatory Dress Rehearsal will be on Friday, April 28 at 4:30pm at PVCC.
Performances: Saturday, April 29 at PVCC (call time at 12:00pm, TBC) and Sunday, April 30 (call time 11:30am, TBC) at the Jewish Community Center in Northern Virginia. Participation in both performances is mandatory upon acceptance of role.
Needed Items: Clean, pinks tights and clean pink ballet shoes. A flesh-colored camisole is helpful but not required (gentlemen will need dance belts). Monsters will need clean, black jazz shoes (without laces).

Volunteering: Volunteer information will be sent out shortly and posted online. Stay posted!
