Charlottesville Ballet’s professional company kicks off its seventh performance season with an eclectic afternoon of dance featuring classical ballet favorites and new commissioned works.
WHEN: Saturday, October 11 at 2pm
WHERE: The V. Earl Dickinson Building at PVCC | 501 College Drive in Charlottesville, VA
TICKETS: $20 for Adults and $15 Children/Students/Seniors/Military
The hour-long performance features a world premiere ballet with Spanish flair set to the music of Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos by Guest Choreographer Pedro Szalay (Roanoke, VA). Company Artist Mary Steward creates a romantic ballet set to live piano accompaniment by local artist Katherine Nies. Don’t miss a neoclassical piece and a high-energy modern dance piece by Liz Reynolds (Charlottesville, VA). Kickoff the 2014-15 Season of dance with the Charlottesville Ballet!
