Auditions for the 2020-2021 Season
Charlottesville Ballet is seeking male and female dancers of all shades, shapes, and sizes for the 2020-2021 season. The Ballet is proud to offer a place where dancers’ health and wellness is a priority. Read more about our mission here.
Our open audition will be held Sunday, February 23, 2020 from 3:00-5:00PM. Additionally, we will be offering several open company class auditions throughout January and February. Register below* for the open audition, or if you cannot attend the open audition, a company class.
*Please note that a credit card is required to enroll in our system. The system will automatically post a registration fee, but your card will not be charged. All fees will be waived.
Please bring your resume, headshot, and dance shot to the audition.

Charlottesville Ballet is looking for part-time accompanists for weekly ballet classes. Pianists with experience accompanying ballet classes are preferred, but Charlottesville Ballet is willing to train qualified applicants. Pay is $20-$25 per hour based on experience.
Applicants must possess strong classical piano technique, good musicianship, and have the ability to follow musical direction. A strong grasp of classical repertoire is essential and sight-reading is helpful.
- Choose music with appropriate rhythms and tempos by observing the movement of the dancers.
- Adapt/improvise in order to best fit the music with the quality of the movement.
- Always be prepared and consistent in the studio
- Maintain cooperative working relationships with faculty, staff, and students

Internship: Administrative Assistant
Charlottesville Ballet is seeking administrative interns the Academic Year 2020-2021 and Summer 2020.
Charlottesville Ballet offers customized internships that can be geared toward a student’s areas of interest (marketing/PR, production & lighting design, graphic design/photography, etc.). University of Virginia students may apply for college credit through the University Internship Program (UIP). All interested students should complete the CB Internship Interest Form.
