Charlottesville Ballet is committed to bringing free community engagement programs to Central Virginia through our CB Moves programming.
CB Moves programming is made possible by our generous sponsors and donors like you!
We are grateful for support from the CACF Community Endowment Fund and Bama Works Fund
Adaptive dance classes at CBA provide an opportunity for children with Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, or any other developmental and intellectual disabilities to explore and experience the joy of dance with a supportive and knowledgeable team.
This program provides after school dance lessons and gives children a hands-on experience with the arts.
Movement for Parkinson’s Disease is a FREE weekly dance class for people with a diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease (PD) and their significant others. Students explore elements of dance to improve the quality of life through overall physical well-being, social interaction and creative expression, and targeted improvements in balance, strength and mobility.
Silver Swans is a class for seasoned professionals and novice dancers alike at The Center. The class incorporates classical ballet principles and focuses on flexibility, strength, and conditioning, but mostly on fun!
Our Silver Swans classes meet weekly on Mondays with our instructor Dr. Maria Chee.
