The February First Fridays performance fuses many art disciplines and shows the full spectrum of work in the Charlottesville Ballet repertory. The evening begins with segments from Emily Mott’s original children’s ballet A Fairy Tale Gathering and includes Associate Director Keith Lee’s “Oh Mary Don’t You Weep.”
The program also features work by Pittsburgh-based choreographer Peter LeBreton Merz, who created a multimedia piece influenced by poems of E.E. Cummings, and the contemporary pas de deux from Look Upby guest choreographer Robert Colby Damon. The evening concludes with reprise of Audrey Fenske’s Fusing the Beatswith an original score by beat-boxing flute player Greg Pattillo. Join us to celebrate the melding of art, poetry, music, and dance with Charlottesville Ballet’s professional company!
